Founded in 1982 as a spinoff from Texas Instruments’ Silicon Small Signal Group, InterFET is based in Richardson, Texas. With the widest selection of JFET parts and more than 40 years of experience, we are the largest supplier of JFET products globally. Our focus is JFET-based products, and we remain committed to delivering JFET solutions when others are discontinuing theirs.

Our Facility
Our 18,000+ square foot facility is purpose-built for specialty semiconductor manufacturing, including in-house wafer probe and saw, electrical testing, metal case assembly, and custom ceramic substrate fabrication.
Metal case assembly occupies approximately 5,000 square feet. We perform final test and final QC inspections on-site. MCM-C manufacturing and test operations occupy 1,500 square feet in the same facility and can deliver product for +200°C applications, as well as devices for aerospace and other high-reliability uses.
InterFET produces products meeting the requirements of MIL-PRF-19500 / MIL-STD-750 through JANS-level type processing. Certifications can be provided via our subcontracted partners. We have earned a reputation for high-reliability products for military and industrial users, and we welcome collaboration on demanding applications.

Why JFETs
JFETs are the lowest-noise solution—better than BJTs, MOS devices, and vacuum tubes. They are an excellent choice for low-noise, high-gain sensor interfaces and are used as the integrated pre-amplifier in 100% of electret condenser microphones. Multiple matched-pair solutions are available.
InterFET is recommended by scientists at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and universities working with low-noise electronics. InterFET is mentioned by name in literature for experiments at CERN, Fermi Labs, and the former Superconducting Super Collider. Cooled operation often reveals the purity of materials and processes—critical to JFET noise performance.
